How does Waytowin’s performance diagnostics work?
Analysis of your athletic abilities
In order to gain a holistic picture of your performance, an athletic test is part of our performance diagnostics.
Measurement of your metabolic parameters
Spiroergometry measures your maximum oxygen intake (VO2max) – the gross criterion for endurance performance. In addition, we calculate your continuous output limit (anaerobic threshold) by a lactate level test using Dickhut model evaluation*. Then there is the exciting question of how economically your metabolism functions, which is revealed by the so-called lactate formation rate (VLamax), which is measured using a sprint test.
Recognition of your potential
We compare the measured metabolic parameters with your discipline-specific objectives. From this we can work out which of the parameters would have to be optimised in your case.
The aim of all performance diagnostics is to draw conclusions from the data obtained. Specifically: How do you apply the knowledge gained to your training? In a detailed evaluation interview*, we will discuss your adjustment screws and explain to you what you need to pay attention to during training.
* The BASIS performance diagnostics includes only the lactate level test and the evaluation discussion.
